IAS Exam (Indian Administrative Service) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), is one of the most prestigious and challenging examinations in India. Here's an overview:

  1. Stages of Examination: The IAS exam consists of three stages:

    • Preliminary Examination (Objective type)
    • Main Examination (Subjective/Descriptive type)
    • Personality Test/Interview
  2. Preliminary Examination:

    • Objective-type questions with two papers - General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II (CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test).
    • GS Paper I tests candidates on subjects like history, geography, economics, polity, current affairs, etc.
